Welcome to the Brewster Music Program!
Welcome to Brewster and the USD314 music program! My name is Sara Chambers and I bring many years of teaching experience to this K-12 band and vocal music program. I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri and a Masters in Music Education from Wichita State University (Go Shockers!) with an emphasis in Special Music Education. I am also certified in the Kodaly methodology of teaching music, which emphasizes the joy of singing and playing music while learning all of the elements of becoming a great musician! My previous teaching assignment included 17 years as a beginning band teaching specialist for the Wichita Public Schools, as well as having an active private lesson studio for students on piano, clarinet, flute, percussion, and saxophone. I have two children, Julianna and Logan, who are actively involved in music and art activities as well. I am excited to be a part of the Brewster schools and community and I look forward to sharing all of the work these amazing young musicians will be creating!
